About Narrative Studies Review (NSR)
Narrative Studies Review (NSR) is an international peer-reviewed scholarly journal devoted to promoting the publication of original research on narratives studied from literary, cultural, historical, linguistic, philosophical, and interdisciplinary angles. NSR understands narratives as means that can be used for the creation and interpretation of knowledge within societies and cultures.
The journal encourages studies of classical as well as contemporary narratives, while inviting authors to propose innovative approaches to studying narratives taking into account various new social, cultural, and technological changes. NSR promotes research on all kinds of narratives, including classical narratives, digital narratives, life narratives, visual narratives, and transmedia narratives.
Narrative research in the contemporary world is not confined to literature only. Narratives affect a wide range of fields including education, psychology, politics, communications, media, medicine, history, law, and many others. Narrative Studies Review provides evidence for such an understanding by covering scholarly work on narratives in various academic disciplines and professions.
Originality, curiosity, critical thinking, and academic integrity are highly valued by the journal. All manuscripts are evaluated through an elaborate peer-review process.

Building New Conversations Through Narrative Research
Stories are integral to human thought. Stories describe the past, define the present, and shape the future. Every culture, community, and individual narrates their experiences in stories to keep a memory alive, articulate an identity, and foster innovation.
The Narrative Studies Review is convinced that the study of narratives should not be confined only to literary texts. Narratives can be found in classrooms, courtrooms, medicine, journalism, politics, film, social media, museums, and daily living. Studying these narratives will help us understand how people make sense, negotiate identities, communicate values, and react to social change.
With the aim of broadening the scope of narrative research, NSR embraces contributions that reflect various points of view and cross-disciplinary studies. In particular, the journal invites scholars from all over the world to submit their papers and thereby enhance the academic discourse by providing new approaches and ideas concerning the changing role of narratives.
