Peer Review Process

Commitment to Fair and Objective Review

The narrative studies review journal uses a double-blind review process where both the reviewer and author identities are kept anonymous in order to ensure academic integrity and impartiality.

Editorial Screening

All manuscripts are first subjected to preliminary review by the editorial board.

The areas assessed include:

  • Relevance to the journal.
  • Originality of the research.
  • Quality of the academic content.
  • Clarity of presentation.
  • Ethical considerations.
  • Guidelines of submission.

All appropriate manuscripts are then subjected to external peer review.

External Review

Every submission that qualifies for review is evaluated by knowledgeable scholars who have a good knowledge of the subject of study.

These evaluators evaluate the following criteria:

  • Originality of research.
  • Design and methodology.
  • Theoretical contribution.
  • Critical analysis.
  • Clarity and organization of content.
  • Quality of the literature used.
  • Contributions to narrative research.

Reviewers also provide constructive suggestions to help authors strengthen their work.

Editorial Decision

Once the reviews are received by the editorial board, the decision will be taken based on the evaluation of all the reviewers' suggestions.

The possible outcomes are:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revisions
  • Major Revisions
  • Reject

In case of revision of the manuscript, the authors are required to provide the revised version along with their response to the reviewers' comments
